Great Day in Monterey’s Old Fisherman’s Wharf

The Old Fisherman’s Wharf is a great place to visit in Monterey, CA. You can spend the entire day enjoying sights and activities, and have a delightful meal afterwards. Here are a few of the things you can do:

  • Go Shopping. A visit to the wharf isn’t complete without a few Monterey souvenirs. Buy great home decors with seaside themes from the many gift shops. If you’re not interested in decor, jewelry might tickle your fancy more. Several shops offer beautifully designed bracelets and necklaces to commemorate your visit. T-shirts and candies are also wonderful gifts to bring home to your friends or relatives.
  • Sightseeing and Fishing. It’s not all shopping, though. The Monterey peninsula is a great place to relish the local scenery and wildlife. Whale watching is a popular activity, with several boat services to charter throughout the day. If you’re in the mood for smaller denizens of the sea, there are glass-bottomed boats that can let you view local fish. Anglers can also charter a boat for a day of fishing.
  • Fine Dining. After all that shopping and sightseeing, you’d probably be starved. Fortunately, there are many lovely restaurants on the wharf that serve delightful food. Fresh seafood is the predominant dish and the restaurants have a wide variety of seafood recipes to choose from, enough to satisfy any finicky eater.

A day at the Old Fisherman’s Wharf never goes to waste with everything the place has to offer. Drop by and have “the best day ever!”
